The advanced systems simulation makes a solid experience for the demanding flight simmer. The realism of the 3D model and texture work is pure and delightful eye candy. It offers a complex and immersing simulation experience. The update pertains to a few significant issues that users were experiencing after the product's initial release, mainly relating to LNAV and ILS bugs. The Rotate MD-80 is a most accurate simulation of this popular aircraft, specifically the MD-88 variation. Viewers then get to see the flight deck being fully lit at night, with all panel and screen brightness fully on. ApMatt Baldwin X-Plane Aircraft developer Rotate has released a new update for their recently-released McDonnell Douglas MD-11. You can use it for a particular livery, just copy the objects into the livery. The blue makes the cockpit more alive but sometimes I want the neutral gray. Many MD-11s Ive seen are very neutral gray in their interior but the Rotate version has a very noticeable blue tint. Back into the cockpit, viewers can see the level of detail that has been put into the aircraft, with finger prints on the navigation display screen. This is a very simple mod for a gray cockpit for the Rotate MD-11. Moving on, the video then shows off a close up of one of the engines, highlighting more of the texture and modeling work that Rotate has done on the engines. After that, it cuts to the exterior of the MD-11 demonstrating the intricate detailing and animation of the operable exterior cargo door while also having a quick glance at the cargo hold of the freighter aircraft. We then get a brief look at both the Captain’s Yoke, and the overhead panel, being fully lit. The video then cuts to the flight deck, where it pans around behind the Captain’s and First Officers seats, giving a brief overlook at the flight deck of the aircraft. The segment looks over the flaps, slats, and the 3rd engine that the aircraft is known for. It is mostly an update for compatibility with X-Plane 12, but it also includes some fixes relevant to both versions. Starting off, the video shows the main left wing and tail engine/tail of the aircraft, in great detail, users are welcomed to the familiar texture work of Rotate through their previous MD-80 release. The Rotate MD-11 v1.06-4 is available now for X-Plane 12 and X-Plane 11 via the release channels using the SkunkCrafts Updater, and also in the product page as a complete package download. After being confirmed that the aircraft had entered beta back in October, this “early look” video showcases all of the high points of both the interior and exterior modeling, alongside a close look at the instruments and screens, and other aspects of the freighter aircraft. ![]()
